Aggreko has launched a line of Tier 4 Final diesel generators designed specifically for remote Canadian work sites, with the three-model range reserved exclusively for Canadian contractors. The units are offered in 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW 600V capacities and are configured to meet and exceed local market requirements, according to the company.
All three generators are CSA and UN31A compliant, addressing Canada's electrical and fuel regulations. Aggreko says the models pair its latest generator technologies with hardware tailored to the specific requirements of operating in Canada, providing reliable, low-emissions power for a range of commercial and industrial applications.
Onboard 600V output on the largest unit
The 1200 kW model carries onboard 600V capability, which removes the need for additional step-up transformers. Aggreko says the direct 600V output reduces project complexity, improves cost-efficiency and cuts the number of potential failure points — an advantage it expects to matter most for large industrial loads where 600V is often required.
Two formats for different loads
- 145 kW and 210 kW: readily deployed canopy units aimed at immediate energy needs.
- 1200 kW: intended for large industrial loads.
- Fleet range: the additions extend Aggreko's Canadian fleet, which spans 25 kW to 1200 kW.
Canada as a priority market
Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko, said tailoring the company's most advanced generators for Canadian customers underscores the importance of the market. He pointed to large petrochemical and mining industries that need power across vast, remote territories, alongside thriving construction and data centre sectors, as evidence of demand for engineered energy solutions that are both powerful and precisely configured.
Off-grid power for data centres
Aggreko says all three models deliver fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and tightly controlled noise levels that surpass local requirements. The company sees a particular fit with Canada's expanding data centre industry, where provincial regulators are looking to limit how much power operators pull from the grid; the Tier 4 Final generators are presented as off-grid energy that keeps facilities running in a way that is minimally disruptive to communities.
Deployment runs through Aggreko's network of Canadian service centres, where the company's energy experts work with customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events on temporary power for a range of applications.
