Apollo Tyres Ltd’s board has approved unaudited consolidated financial results for the second quarter and first half of fiscal 2026-27, reporting higher revenue and net profit and approving a change at the chief financial officer position. The results cover the quarter ended September 30, 2026, and the six months from April to September.

Second-quarter performance

Consolidated revenue from operations rose 17% to Rs 7,968 crores in the July-September quarter, compared with Rs 6,831 crores in the same period of the previous fiscal year. Operating profit was Rs 855 crores. Net profit increased 13% to Rs 292 crores from Rs 258 crores. The company said the quarterly net profit included an estimated pre-tax restructuring cost of Rs 26 crores, disclosed as an exceptional item.

First-half results

For the six months ended September 30, revenue from operations increased 15% to Rs 15,366 crores from Rs 13,392 crores a year earlier. Operating profit was Rs 1,723 crores. Net profit was Rs 641 crores, compared with Rs 271 crores in the same period last fiscal year. The half-year net profit also included the estimated pre-tax restructuring cost of Rs 26 crores as an exceptional item. Apollo said its Indian Operations carried forward strong revenue growth momentum into the second quarter, reflecting the effectiveness of its growth initiatives.

The restructuring cost was described as an estimate and was included in reported net profit for both periods; the update did not present an adjusted net profit figure.

Chairman cites drivers and headwinds

Onkar Kanwar, Chairman of Apollo Tyres, attributed growth across categories in India to sustained rural expansion efforts and the company’s strategic association with cricket. He said new product launches in the commercial vehicle segment in India had strengthened performance during the past quarter. Kanwar also said geopolitical tensions in West Asia remained a headwind, causing elevated input costs and supply chain disruptions.

CFO appointment

The board approved the appointment of Ravi Kumar Shingari as Chief Financial Officer, effective November 4, 2026. Shingari joined Apollo Tyres in 2018 as Group Head, Finance and has held responsibilities across budgeting, accounts and investor relations. More recently, he was given additional responsibility for Legal.

Before joining Apollo Tyres, Shingari worked at KPMG for more than 16 years, with his last assignment there as Partner, Tax and Regulatory. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com(H)) from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. In the CFO role, he will report directly to Neeraj Kanwar, Vice Chairman and Managing Director.
