Mace Construct will begin trading under the name Forco after the new year, the contractor has said, as it prepares to set out a new corporate strategy and productivity targets running through to 2030.

The business described the new name as "short, impactful and easy to pronounce." It will continue to trade as Mace Construct until the new year before moving forward as Forco.

The change follows the separation of Mace Construct and Mace Consult into two distinct businesses in March. Under that arrangement, Mace Consult retained the Mace brand, leaving the contracting arm to establish a separate identity.

Leadership on continuity

Mark Reynolds, Executive Chair, presented the rebrand as continuity rather than a break with the past. He said the business had spent 35 years raising standards and helping to drive the industry forward, and that the new name represents a commitment to being the UK's most forward-thinking contractor, and its most productive by 2030.

Reynolds said the qualities that made the company one of the UK's most respected contractors would not change, pointing to its culture, its values and the people who have underpinned its success. Clients, he added, can expect the same teams, the same commitment to delivery and the same drive to create places and infrastructure that last.

The new corporate strategy is to be unveiled alongside the name change, the company said, together with the productivity targets it is aiming to reach by the end of the decade.
